How to use this calculator
Enter the full driving distance, including the return leg if needed. Recent measured consumption can be more useful than a manufacturer’s test-cycle figure.
Traffic, hills, speed, weather and vehicle load affect actual fuel use. The result covers fuel alone; the trip cost calculator adds tolls, parking and other expenses.
The formula
Fuel litres = distance × consumption ÷ 100. Fuel cost = litres × price per litre.
A worked example
300 km at 6.5 L/100 km uses 19.5 litres. At 1.70 per litre, the journey costs 33.15 in fuel.
